I had the pleasure of attending the 2016 Florida Authors and Publishers Spring Conference yesterday, held at NOVA University’s Orlando campus. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with friends and meet some terrific new authors and publishers. As always, this author event is a terrific resource for writers and publishers.
A real added benefit of attending the FAPA Conference for me was hearing some useful tips for effectively editing documents using the features of Microsoft’s Word software and an editing program called My Word Count. Facilitator, Patricia Charpentier, explained that for less than $15.00, you can get this latter software. It examines your documents for such things as word, phrase, adverb and sentence usage. The software also helps finds repetitive words and phrases, long sentences, excessive adverb usage and more. As an add-on to Word, this is certainly a writers tool that I plan to get and explore for such an economical price.
