We use a flat rate shipping fee structure. The following applies to shipping within the United States only.
Regular Shipping
Our website is set up to process regular shipments by U.S. Postal Service only. Most orders are typically shipped the same day via U.S. Postal Priority Mail or Parcel Post (depending on weight and location of delivery), if they are received before 3:00 p.m. (EST) Monday through Friday. Otherwise, they are shipped the following business day. If you have an immediate need, you are encouraged to either order early or pay for special shipping to guarantee your delivery date.
Special Shipping
All special orders (e.g. overnight, 2nd Day, UPS or FedEx shipments) must be arranged by contacting us as indicated below.
Customers pay actual shipping cost for any special shipments, based on product weight, box dimensions and destination. As an example of how expensive overnight shipments are, the U.S. Postal Service (which is cheaper than UPS or FedEx for overnight & does not guarantee overnight to some remote locations in the U.S.) charges a minimum of $18.65 for a one pound package. A $2.00 handling fee will be added to the actual shipping charge for special orders (other than U.S. Postal) to cover fuel charges, since we have to take these to a shipper location for drop off.
A rule of thumb is that overnight packages can cost as much as 50% more than normal shipping in the U.S. depending on shipping location.
NOTE: UPS and FedEx do not deliver to Post Office boxes, while the U.S. Postal Service does.
